In its annual ranking of the best graduate institutions in the United States, U.S. News & World Report listed Willamette University College of Law as one of the nation’s top law schools. Each year, the report analyzes universities across a number of areas, including their postgraduate job placement percentage, peer rankings, and student grade point averages. Over the course of two years, Willamette ascended 30 places on the list, ultimately achieving the number 118 spot in 2015. Several factors facilitated its rise in the ranks, particularly its high graduate job placement and student bar admission percentages.
Willamette as a whole also received high rankings on a number of other college guides in 2015. On the U.S. News & World Report of all liberal arts colleges in the nation, the school achieved the number 65 spot overall. In addition, Willamette earned recognition from the Fiske Guide to Colleges, which specifically cited the school’s student research and study abroad programs.
