The Kenneth A. Holmes Building has a long history in the Salem community. Constructed in 1964, the unique structure served as the original home of Key Title Co., which, prior to its 2003 sale to Fidelity National Title, held distinction as the largest family-owned company of its type in Oregon.
Over the years, the Kenneth A. Holmes Building has undergone numerous renovations. Currently consisting of 22,000 square feet of office space, as well as a garage with a 65-car capacity, the iconic structure sits centrally located in downtown Salem, offering easy access to the city’s business district.
To acquire the historic property, Kerley Commercial agreed to a purchase price of $3 million. Gabe Johansen of SMI Commercial Real Estate represented Mr. Kerley’s firm, while Terry Frohnmayer of First Commercial Real Estate represented the seller. The transaction marks the first time in 35 years the Kenneth A. Holmes Building has changed hands.
